As you may know, my family believes very strongly in supporting children with special needs. Recently, I had a chance to visit a reception for a great organization called, Clinics Can Help, which is in West Palm Beach, Florida. This was a great holiday reminder of importance of supporting others.
Clinics Can Help accepts gently used and new durable medical equipment (DME) and unwrapped medical supplies from individuals and organizations and makes it available to children and adults who may not otherwise be able to afford such equipment and supplies for their physical recovery. It is the only organization of its kind in Florida and one of the largest in the U.S. that provides this critical assistance.
This is smart way to help the community and it’s a model that can be used across the country. It can be as simple as donating a used piece of equipment, after it’s no longer needed. For someone in need, that simple act is a game changer. To find out more about this organization, click here.
