About Rock
Rock LaManna advises executives and boards of directors – and serves as an independent board member – for corporate, non-profit, and philanthropic organizations.
He consults with leadership teams and boards on CEO selection/retention and accountability, M&A strategies, succession planning, and growth.
From his M&A experience with his own and his clients’ companies, Rock has learned to navigate complex, emotional transactions. He prepares organizations for outside evaluations, due diligence scrutiny, and regulatory compliance.
To help clients complete M&A deals with fewer complications and outside fees, Rock became a licensed commercial real estate broker.
Rock serves his clients with the empathy, caring, and faith his career and life have taught him. He offers perspective to leaders about how to build consensus for a business transformation, and how to build a plan for the next phase of their own careers and lives.
From Shop Floor to C-Suite
Rock has evolved into a mentorship role throughout nearly five decades as a business executive, entrepreneur, and M&A deal maker.
He started on the shop floor of the St. Paul, Minnesota, printing/graphics/packaging firm, Vomela Specialty Company. Like his father before him, Rock worked his way up the ranks to become Vomela’s president, CEO and ownership partner.
After selling his share of Vomela, Rock founded and led Advanced Converting Technologies Inc. in St. Paul. He worked extensively with 3M Company as a customer, supplier, and beta site partner, creating global market and product innovations.
Rock went on to launch, grow, and sell numerous companies. As founder and president of the LaManna Consulting Group, Rock has been a matchmaker and senior advisor to entrepreneurs and investors who are buying, selling, or growing companies.
